This is a portrait I did of Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, in honor of Stadium Arcadium when it came out. This was about a 40hr+ painting using Photoshop.

It is purely a technical study from photo reference. I wanted to practice some new Photoshop techniques with the grid method, texture and color dynamic brushes.

"The work put into it is utterly amazing. Not only does the subject have realistic skin and hair, but the fabric looks so real, as does the sweat on his skin. I had to do a double take when I first saw this to make sure I wasn't hallucinating."
