“Nature’s Domain” is a production painting created to illustrate the meeting between Pan, the God of Nature and the animal characters that are accidentally lured into his presence.

This scene is from chapter seven: The Piper at the Gates of Dawn from “The Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame.

`This is the place of my song-dream, the place the music played to me,' whispered the Rat, as if in a trance. `Here, in this holy place, here if anywhere, surely we shall find Him!'

Now and then a truly exceptional piece of Fan Art turns up here on dA and we can't scramble quickly enough to DD it. In the case of this piece, at least three different Gallery Directors loved it so much they wanted to do the honors! Suggested by webwiz23 and with the backing of myself, Cooley, Skifi and Cosmosue, this gorgeous tribute to Wind in the Willows captures the peace and silence of the most touching chapter of the book. The style is reminiscent of a frame of classical 2D animation, though gorgeously rendered with much greater depth, and the characters are spot-on. Check the rest of Claudia's gallery for more wonderful pieces like this. (Suggested by ~webwiz23 and Featured by `animator)

This is gorgeous. Absolutely love the magical appearance of Pan, and how he seems to fade but has that strong, bright outline. Wonderful.

Beautiful work here, the colors are so lively and set the magical mood right on. The characters are great especialy those two little chumps on the branch. You sure are imaginative and skilled as hell.
